The Monceau Park used to be a private garden
The Jardin de Villiers hotel is located in the 17th district of Paris, 8 minutes’ walk from the parc Monceau . You can take the metro from the hotel: the journey starting at station Métro Villiers, take the direction Porte Dauphine and stop at Monceau station. The park is located just one stop away.
By turning left on the rue Legendre, and after taking a break at the Jean Jacques Henner museum (on avenue de Villiers), you will arrive at the Monceau park. It was designed by Carmontelle, who wanted to recreate a “land of illusions”. This park will take you through ruins, a pyramid, a pagoda and an ancient roman temple...
After viewing the Jardin de Villiers’ garden, if you fancy a picnic, there is plenty of lawn space available for that at the Parc Monceau.
The Monceau Park is open all day until nightfall (8pm, 9pm or 10pm according to the time of the year).
