An outdoor festival in the heart of Shakespeare Garden
From June 14 to September 28, 2025, the Open-Air Theatre Festival takes place in the Shakespeare Garden, in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne (Jardin du Pré-Catelan). This outdoor festival offers a varied program combining theatre, music, dance, readings, and performances for all audiences.
Set within a lush green setting inspired by Shakespeare’s works, this open-air theatre can host up to 400 spectators. The program is designed for a multigenerational audience, featuring Shakespeare’s classic plays, contemporary creations, readings, concerts, and family-friendly activities.

The festival runs Monday to Sunday, with daytime and evening performances depending on the program.

From the Hôtel Jardin de Villiers (18 rue Claude Pouillet, Paris 17ᵉ), getting to the Shakespeare Garden is easy:
Take Metro Line 2 at Villiers (direction Porte Dauphine), change at Charles de Gaulle – Étoile for Line 1 (direction La Défense), then get off at Porte Maillot. From there, take bus 244 to the “Pré-Catelan” stop. The Open-Air Theatre is located in the Bois de Boulogne, right nearby.
